Traditional epistemology studies knowledge mainly through its formalized results, such as concepts, propositions and criteria of truth, and leaves the natural processes that precede them insufficiently explained. This article aims to propose, from the standpoint of Cognitive Psychiatry, a naturalistic and psychogenetic model of the genesis of knowledge, consciousness and science.
