英文原文摘要全文

This study compares school-linked organized activities in Australia, where they are called extracurricular activities (ECA), and in Singapore, where they are called co-curricular activities (CCA), with regard to equality of opportunity and access to cultural and social capital. The two systems share a British tradition of school sport, clubs, and uniformed groups but regulate these activities in opposite ways: participation is voluntary and largely family-funded in Australia, whereas in Singapore it is compulsory at secondary level, funded through schools, and formally recognized in selection.
